We are pleased to offer this PS Autoart 250 Retro Targa for sale that was originally created in 2006 as a tribute to the owners original 1973 911S Targa, that he and his new bride used on their honeymoon all those years ago.
The base car was a 1990 964 Carrera 2 manual, chosen for its more modern technical features, that was then subsequently stripped and converted into the car you see here today. Viper green was the colour of the original 911S, so this car was repainted in the same hue, whilst the interior was trimmed in contrasting black leather. The mechanicals was also rebuilt at the same time to standard specification and the car has covered 24,156 miles since the conversion was completed.
Rather than retrim the existing roof, a new genuine Porsche item was fitted ensuring this Targa is not only quiet but watertight too.
It has been with its current custodian for the last 11 years and is no longer being used as intended so is now up for sale. On the road, this Retro Targa is sure-footed with coil sprung suspension, ABS brakes and power steering ensuring it feels far more modern than its 70s styling suggests.
Having been converted 14 years ago and used as intended, this Retro Targa is now showing signs of use with the usual stone chipping on the front and some corrosion reappearing around the screens as on a standard 964, however, it can still continue to be used as is, or for those wanting an immaculate appearance again, we can carry out a respray for an additional charge.
Paul Stephens Autoart is in their 15th year of creating bespoke 911s and there is a waiting list for new builds today. This is an opportunity to purchase one of their early creations, that is available immediately and attractively priced too.
